There are a multitude of ways of travelling to Méribel.

Flights

Getting to Méribel couldn't be easier; hop on a plane to Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble or Chambéry.

From there take a taxi, shared transfer or bus to Méribel. Or of course you can hire a car.

The nearest airport to Méribel is Chambéry. Chambéry is just over an hour from Méribel, and for UK visitors, is serviced by British Airways and Jet2.

Geneva is the main airport for the Three Valleys, with numerous international flights from across the globe.

Two other airports convenient for Méribel are Lyon and Grenoble.

Journey times from the airports to Méribel are as follows:

  • Geneva to Méribel: 2 hours
  • Lyon to Méribel: 2 hour
  • Grenoble to Méribel: 2:15 hour
  • Chambéry to Méribel: 1 hour

Normal check in time is 17:00; so allowing for an hour to get through passport control, then a good time to land would be:

  • Geneva: 13:30
  • Lyon: 13:30
  • Grenoble: 13:15
  • Chambéry: 15:00

Train

For our U.K. based clients there are two options for travelling to Méribel by train:

      The Eurostar direct service from London St Pancras International to Moutiers Station
      Taking Eurostar to Paris and then the TGV/TER to Moutiers.

If there are seven or more people in your party, or you are travelling with children, then we recommend a private transfer. The difference in cost between a private and shared transfer is usually minimal, but the convenience of a private transfer is worth it. Mainly because they will meet your flight and drop you at the door of your apartment or chalet.

Bus Service

Altibus offer a scheduled coach service from Geneva and Lyon St Expuery airports to Moutiers, with a connecting bus up to Méribel, with drop-offs at central stops such as Méribel Centre, Méribel Village, Les Allues and Mottaret, after which guests use the free resort shuttle or a local taxi for the final leg to the property.

Driving

Driving is a great way to travel to Méribel. It is an easy drive, of around eight hours from Calais, done easily in one go or you can choose to stop off on the way.

Parking

Many of our properties have their own parking space. Check the individual property page for details. If your property does not have a parking space we would recommend that you book a space in one of the car parks in the Meribel Valley.

As a rule of thumb in Méribel, you may not park on the street unless indicated otherwise.
